My lens as an evaluator is both critical and pragmatic, meaning that I center the voices of oppressed community members who are being served by a project/process while balancing the funding and reporting requirements of the managing organization.
I have experience conducting evaluations for arts-based and education-based organizations. I also deliver trainings to organizations who don’t have the resources to hire an evaluation expert and wish to develop an in-house evaluation capacity.
I enjoy training organizations’ staff on how to implement small, but meaningful evaluation practices so that they can develop an evaluative “mindset” and an in-house capacity. I support arts-education and arts-performance organizations that serve minoritized populations.
I use a mix of qualitative and quantitative data to develop a comprehensive “story” of how the arts and arts education transform the lives of youth, adults, families, and communities whose histories are not always represented in traditional arts settings.
